Har Hatayasim
Located between the village of Ramat Raziel and Kibbutz Tzuba, the route starts from the sign that is located in the eastern part of the Har Tayasim memorial site.

It is advisable to leave a car at the end point in the parking lot near Ein Tayasim.
Har Tayasim is located in the heart of the Jerusalem mountains and at its summit, it rises to 796 meters above sea level.
There, is located the memorial to the air force pilots who were killed in the Jerusalem hills during the battles of the War of Independence, the site is the main memorial site of the Israeli Air Force, the monument is built of Jerusalem stone and the upper part of it is a plane engine from a crash with a curved propeller; the remains of the crashed plane, a single-engine "Norseman" that crashed on the summit of Deir Amar (today Mount Eitanim) on May 10, 1948.
The plane and pilot were sent to assist the Harel Division of the Palmah, by support bombing over Bayt Mahsir (today Beit Meir). The cause of the explosion and crash are still today unknown.
All six of the crewman were killed.

Ein Tayasim
This is a spring that runs into a beautiful 2.5*3.5 meter pool. Its depth allows for a pleasant dip in its waters, which should be told are not fit for drinking.

The name of the place in Arabic is Ein al-Joz, which means the "walnut spring" named after the walnut trees that grow nearby. Another name is Ein al-Judida, which means the ""new spring,"" its Hebrew name given to it by the fact that it stems from the slopes of Har Tayasim.

Ramat Raziel - The settlement was named after David Raziel, the Irgun commander who fell in Iraq in 1941 while serving as a soldier in the British army.
The settlement was established as a cooperative military outpost in 1948 by veterans of the Etzel and the Beitar groups.
This was the first settlement of the Etzel fighters which they established just to prove that underground fighters could do it.

How to get there?
For those coming from the central region, drive on Highway 1, heading east towards Jerusalem, at Sha'ar Hagai turn south towards Beit Shemesh on route 38.

At the Eshta'ol junction, turn left onto road 395 toward Ramat Raziel, 1 km after the eastern entrance of Ramat Raziel you will see signs to the Har HaTayasim, the commemoration site of the air force, turn right and drive to the site's parking lot.
