Al dente

Dairy, Fish, Italian

Al Dente is an intimate and authentic kosher Italian restaurant, located between the Nachlaot and Rechavia neighborhoods, specializing in authentic Tuscan cuisine prepared daily with fresh ingredients by head chef Shuki Shukrun.

The interior of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, but guests are also invited to sit outside on the beautiful porch.

The menu includes both basic ("simple is best") and unique dishes. Appetizers include traditional antipasti, bruschetta, and several types of focaccia, as well as Sea Bream Triangoli with asparagus, Macadamia nuts, mascarpone and truffle tapenad, and other unique first courses from the specials menu. Innovative combinations such as Green Pea Gnocchi or Truffle Tortellini can be found among the main course options, and even the pizzas are creative.

There is plenty of pasta to choose from, many featuring unique sauces made of artichokes, leeks, or arugula. Fish lovers won't want to miss the Red Snapper fillet in wine and chestnut sauce. Delicious, hearty salads and rotelle round out the variety of entrees.

Al Dente also offers a variety of desserts, prepared daily by the restaurant's in house confectioner chef. Tempting dessert options include mascarpone cheesecake with apples, chocolate fondant, assorted tarts, and tiramisu.
